Sports Coaching Group is delighted to have been accepted as a Business Associate Member of the Association for Physical Education (afPE).

This is a significant milestone which underscores the organisation’s dedication to delivering high-quality physical education and school sport across the UK.

To gain afPE membership, organisations must demonstrate a strong commitment to physical education through their professional standards, qualifications, development programmes, and contributions to the sector.

Sports Coaching Group has consistently met these criteria by delivering structured, inclusive, and engaging physical education sessions across schools, early years settings, and community venues.

As a Business Associate Member, Sports Coaching Group now joins a respected network of educators, practitioners, and sector leaders who are united by a shared vision: to improve the quality and impact of physical education in schools and beyond.

Chris Regan, Operations Director for Sports Coaching Group, said: “This is a proud moment for our company.

“Becoming a member of afPE reinforces our commitment to delivering outstanding PE provision and being part of a community that shares our passion for improving physical activity opportunities for all children. It opens up new doors for collaboration, learning, and growth.”

Membership offers numerous benefits for Sports Coaching Group, including opportunities to participate in key physical education initiatives and national events.

The organisation is now also able to display the afPE Business Associate Member logo, a mark of credibility and trust within the education and sports sectors.

The Association for Physical Education plays a central role in supporting and developing physical education across the UK.

It leads projects, shares research and resources, and helps shape national policy around Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA).

The membership also fulfils the commitment of our parent company EMPHASIS Foundation Community Interest Company, which aims to use Sports Coaching to provide work in schools which ‘strengthens communities by delivering impactful programmes across education.’
