Sports Coaching Group is set for further expansion in 2026, creating a wide range of new job and career opportunities for people passionate about sport, education and child care.
As demand for high-quality provision in schools and communities continues to grow, we are strengthening our team with dedicated individuals who want to make a genuine difference to young lives.
At the heart of this growth is a full-time coaching role, ideal for candidates with a keen interest in delivering sport within primary education.
Successful applicants will assist and lead high-quality PE lessons, deliver Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) cover, support Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and work in line with the national curriculum.
The role also offers opportunities to run lunchtime clubs, after-school clubs and contribute to wider projects that enhance physical activity across Cheshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire.

Founded in 2011, Sports Coaching Group is also recruiting qualified Swim Teachers to work in primary schools across Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire, delivering Swim England stages 1 to 4.
These roles offer evening and weekend overtime opportunities and suit professionals who are passionate about water safety and swimming development.
Alongside sport and swimming, childcare plays a vital part in our expanding offer.
We are looking for dedicated and nurturing Childcare Providers to create safe, engaging and educational environments for children.
These split-shift roles run Monday to Friday, 7.30am–8.30am and 3pm–6pm, and focus on supervising children, planning age-appropriate activities, supporting physical, emotional and social development, and maintaining strong communication with parents.
While experience in childcare is beneficial, enthusiasm, patience, creativity and a genuine passion for nurturing young minds are equally valued.
For those keen to learn while they work, we continue to invest heavily in apprenticeships.
Level Two Community Activator Sports Coaching and Swimming Apprenticeships begin in September 2026, while the Level Four Sports Head Coach Apprenticeship launches in January 2026, offering clear progression routes within the sports and education sector.
Last year the organisation worked in partnership with 55 schools, delivered 24,860 PE and activity sessions, welcomed 4,379 children to its holiday clubs, supported over 6,000 children through the HAF programme and taught 13,082 children to swim.
Chris Regan, Co-owner and Operations Director, said: “Across all roles, we look for enthusiasm, professionalism and a genuine passion for developing young people.
“Experience in school or childcare settings is beneficial, with DBS, safeguarding, first aid and the ability to travel seen as strong advantages.”
The recruitment process includes a formal interview followed by a practical assessment in a partner school.
