We are passionate about helping children develop a love for sport, physical activity and healthy living from an early age.
Whether it is through PE lessons, holiday clubs, swimming sessions or extracurricular activities, our coaching team works hard every day to encourage young people to stay active, build confidence and most importantly, enjoy taking part.
What makes our coaches special is that they do not just teach those values, they live by them too.
A brilliant example of this recently came from coaches Sam Burgess and Harry Price, who both took on the demanding Killer Mile event at Mow Cop in Staffordshire.
The race is far from an ordinary mile.
Participants face a relentless 570-foot climb with punishing gradients of up to 25 per cent as they battle their way towards the iconic Mow Cop Castle.
It is widely regarded as one of the toughest mile races in the country and provides a real test of endurance, determination and mental strength.

Both coaches produced fantastic performances on the day.
Harry crossed the finish line in an impressive time of 11 minutes and one second, while Sam delivered an outstanding run to finish first in one of the races with an incredible time of 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
Achievements like this perfectly reflect the positive attitudes and commitment our coaches bring into schools, communities and sports sessions every single day.
Everyone at Sports Coaching Group is incredibly proud of both coaches for their achievements and the values they continue to promote through sport and physical activity.
Well done Sam and Harry. We hope the legs have recovered!
