WELLBEING

Six-week course designed to explore children's mental health

The 5 Ways to Wellbeing is a comprehensive six-week programme specifically designed to explore and implement the core pillars of mental health.

Each week, participants focus on one of the five evidence-based “ways to wellbeing,” gaining a deep understanding of how to integrate these habits into daily life.

The sessions are delivered in one-hour slots that balance theory with practical application.

Facilitated through an interactive workbook, the programme combines reflective exercises with hands-on activities to ensure a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

Topics covered:

  • Connect;
  • Give;
  • Be Active;
  • Keep Learning;
  • Take Notice.

Principles of the programme:

  • Integrated Wellbeing: Focus on weaving small, manageable actions into the existing fabric of daily life, ensuring self-care feels like a natural rhythm rather than a chore.
  • The Power of Connection: Prioritise meaningful social bonds and shared experiences to build a support network that fosters a sense of belonging and mutual care.
  • The Beginner’s Mindset: Encourage participants to approach each pillar with openness and zero judgment, treating the six weeks as an experiment in personal discovery rather than a test of perfection
    .

Learning Outcomes of the programme:

  • By the end of the programme, participants will be able to identify all five ‘Ways to Wellbeing’ and demonstrate how to apply each one through practical, daily examples.
