A group of local businesses has come together to support Sports Coaching Group as the organisation prepares to celebrate its 15th anniversary with a week of community events and charity fund-raising.
Businesses including Sandbach SportsZone, Sportscape Education, Reliance Medical, Coach Cain, Rouge Digital, Blue Spot IT Solutions, Oliver North Psychotherapy, Turnaround Print and Uniform Group have all backed the celebrations,
They have helped the firm to mark the milestone while it raises money for the charity MIND and EMPHASIS Community Interest Company (CIC).
The anniversary celebrations, taking place from July 11-17, will feature:
• Saturday, July 11 – Staff celebration at Chester Races;
• Monday, July 13 – Charity bike ride begins, with Tom Kesteven and Lucas Turner setting off to visit all 41 Sports Coaching Group partner schools;
• Tuesday, July 14 – Charity Golf Day at Tytherington Golf Club;
• Tuesday, July 14 – Anniversary Party at Radley’s, Congleton, for staff, families, customers, partners and friends of the organisation;
• Friday, July 17 – Charity bike ride finishes at SportsZone, Sandbach, at approximately 6.30pm, followed by a welcome-back celebration.
Commercial Director Charlie Chorlton said: “We’re incredibly grateful to every business that has supported our 15th anniversary celebrations. Their backing has allowed us to celebrate this milestone while keeping our focus firmly on giving something back to the community.
“The support we’ve received reflects the fantastic relationships we’ve built over the last 15 years. Many of these organisations have worked alongside us for years, sharing our passion for improving opportunities for children, young people and families across the region.”
Throughout the anniversary week, Sports Coaching Group will be raising funds for MIND, in memory of former Operations Manager James Ellwood, and EMPHASIS CIC, helping provide free holiday club places for children who may otherwise miss out on active and enriching school holiday experiences.
Since launching in 2011, Sports Coaching Group has grown from a small coaching company into a leading provider of PE, childcare, holiday clubs, swimming lessons, alternative provision and education, while expanding to include sister organisations such as Sportscape Education, SportsZone and businesses within the Uniform Group.
As the celebrations begin, the organisation says the anniversary is not only a chance to look back on 15 successful years but also an opportunity to thank the businesses, schools, partners and communities whose continued support has helped make that success possible.
