This summer marked our biggest and most ambitious holiday club programme yet at Sports Coaching Group – and what an incredible few weeks it was.
Across 13 venues, our team of 72 coaches delivered 29 action-packed days of camps, resulting in a fantastic 9,106 sessions booked.
We had 11 #HAF venues, seven Teen #HAF venues/clubs, 4,755 #HAF bookings and we provided 5,550 free #HAF meals thanks to the support of Cheshire East Council, Cheshire West and Chester Council and Staffordshire County Council.
From our ever-popular multi-sport camps, with 3,942 sessions played across nine venues, to sport-specific experiences at specialist sites, the summer offered variety and excitement.
One of the standout successes was our Race Around the World challenge, with children racking up an amazing 54,693 points to get Tilly the Tiger Shark and Timmy the Tiger Parrot home from their travels.
Added to this we had 39 themed days of activities and provided free days for 430 children, the chance to take part at no cost.
Perhaps the biggest innovation of 2025 was the expansion of of our teenage holiday experiences.
Our SportsZone venue became YouthZone during the summer and offered activites including virtual golf, pool, darts and Sky Sports.
For #HAF teens all these activities were free and they also received a free meal.
We also offered a free Teen Coaching Experience and a free Level 1 Activators Course (Multi-Sports) qualification, helping young people gain valuable skills and a first step into coaching.
The summer of 2025 has shown just how powerful sport can be in bringing communities together, inspiring children, and supporting families.
