Sports Coaching Group’s Kate Emery makes a lasting impact volunteering in Africa by teaching PE, science and maths at St Trizah School in Kenya

Sports Coaching Group's Kate Emery made a lasting impression when she visited a school in Kenya to teach maths, science and PE.

We love to celebrate our team members when they go above and beyond – and we have a shining example in coach light Kate Emery, who recently brought her energy, compassion and coaching expertise to Nakuru, Kenya.

Kate volunteered at St Trizah School and Children’s Home, where she spent time teaching PE, science and maths, as well as lending a hand in the kitchen and helping to paint the entire school.

And her commitment and positivity made a lasting impression on both pupils and staff.

True to her coaching roots, Kate made sure playtime was packed with fun and learning.

She led football matches and dance sessions, encouraging teamwork, confidence and creativity – values that lie at the heart of everything we do at Sports Coaching Group.

But the impact didn’t stop there. Kate and her team also donated clothes, toys and toiletries to every child and staff member, bringing essential support to the St Trizah community.

Kate’s story is a wonderful reminder that coaching extends far beyond the playing field – it’s about inspiring people, building connections and creating opportunities for others to thrive.

From everyone at Sports Coaching Group, we’re incredibly proud of Kate for representing our values of passion, care and community on a global stage.
